THE NEXT MODE
Our manifesto.
We begin with a half-baked poetic image. Next, we describe the problem in simple, clear language. Here is where we suggest the polemics of the present. This sentence hints at our youth (leaning) by a critique of outmoded structures. The next sentence crosses the line and becomes charmingly impetuous. This sentence appears to be reasonable and sensitive. This part is almost heartfelt. Suddenly we pounce with a precision strike to the root issue. We hit again with a second flash of illumination. The critique expands to include several not quite related phenomena. Next we throw up a second half-baked poetic image to provide literary color. The scene is worked into the next criticism with clever but not particularly coordinated logic. This part suggests a solution. Next, we outline a series of examples the solution would solve. Another practitioner is sited as having used this solution with a successful result. We start to sum up, but remember another aspect of the problem which demands our attention. This new aspect needs a second sentence to clarify its insidiousness. We decide to throw in a third, less important facet of the problem since anyone who has made it this far into the argument will probably be interested. We repeat the proposed solution with increased urgency. The solution is repeated again, this time with energetic spite for those who would disagree. The conclusion begins with a final half-baked poetic image that seems to relate somehow to the first one. The final sentence has obviously been labored over and has the air of a marketing campaign.
